Privacy policy

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Thinkroom (UK) Limited, trading as Helping Creatives Thrive ("HCT", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15674704, registered office at 15 Cascade Court, 1 Sopwith Way, London, SW11 8NS. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at info@helpingcreativesthrive.com.

2. What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact data — name, email address, and any information you give us when purchasing a programme, booking a session, or signing up to our newsletter.

  • Payment data — we do not store or have access to your full card details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe and/or Squarespace Payments, who act as independent data controllers for that information under their own privacy policies.

  • Programme and coaching data — information you share with us during coaching sessions, forms, or messaging support, where relevant to delivering our Services.

  • Booking data — name, email, and any details you provide when scheduling a call or session with us.

  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and usage data collected automatically via our website (Squarespace) and email platform (Omnisend), including whether you open or click links in emails.

  • Marketing preferences — whether you've opted in or out of receiving communications from us.

3. How we use your information and our legal basis

You can withdraw consent at any time - unsubscribe from any email, or email us to have your directory listing removed.

4. Who we share your information with

We use the following third-party processors to help us run our business. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

  • Squarespace — website hosting, checkout, and course delivery

  • Stripe / Squarespace Payments — payment processing

  • Omnisend — email newsletter and marketing communications

  • Calendly — session and call scheduling

  • Canva — design and content creation (does not typically involve your personal data)

  • Video Ask — Q&A’s from visitors (video, voice and written messages)

Each of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA as part of their global infrastructure. Where this happens, we rely on their own compliance mechanisms (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent safeguards) to ensure your data remains protected.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our Services and meet our legal obligations — generally for the duration of our relationship with you, plus 6 years afterward for tax and accounting records (per HMRC requirements). If you unsubscribe from marketing communications, we retain a minimal record to ensure we don't contact you again, but stop active marketing use of your data.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data (subject to our legal retention obligations)

  • Restrict or object to certain processing

  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (e.g. unsubscribing from marketing emails)

  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we've mishandled your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@helpingcreativesthrive.com.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies via Squarespace's platform for essential site functionality and, where you consent, analytics. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings or any cookie banner presented on the site.

8. Children

Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
